BIOGRAPHY Book publisher, editor, and one-time seller (the bookstore/press Sand Dollar Books was a Shoemaker venture) Jack Shoemaker has participated in and made great contribution to virtually every facet of the publishing industry. With William Turnbull, he founded the venerable North Point Press in Berkeley, which published 365 books in its 12-year life span.
